I thought I could write here something about me, but the first draft of  my bio turned up too long.

So here is version 2.0:
I was born in a small town in Greece called Drama. Everyone asks me at this point if things
were so "Dramatic" back in my hometown. The truth is, the name "Drama" comes from "Ydrama"
which is the ancient word for water spring, you can even see it in English words like "h
ydro"
which you find in all compound words that express the existence of water or liquid.
Anyway, enough with the language lessons, just wanted to say that Drama wasn't Dramatic,
not until the year I discovered 3D Animation. Then all of a sudden, my pretty hometown shrunk
to pea size and I couldn't fit in there anymore. No opportunities for a career there! So I thought I
give it a try and go to the capital of Greece, Athens. Spent three years there working at a production
studio doing commercials and also some freelancing. But soon enough I realized that what I loved
most was to create and animate CG Characters, and this was still a luxury in Greece. So I left,
and I came to the US about five years ago. These five years went by as fast as a week. During that
week many things happened. I arrived in the US Monday morning. In the afternoon I got hired by an
animation studio called "Out Of Our Minds". On Tuesday we started the production of our first Animated
feature film called "The Magistical" for which I was assigned to do Character Animation for one
of the main characters. On Wednesday I met my wife Sarah and we had a date. On Thursday
we got married. Friday morning we found out that she was pregnant! Friday afternoon, the movie
finished production.
It all went by as fast as a week! So here I am, on the brink of a new "week". A new chapter
in my life. I'm just 32 years old and I think my life is starting all over again. There are so many
things to do. I'm continuing to do animation as a freelance Character Animator at this point.
It probably won't pay the bills at first, so its a good thing that the first 7 years of my career
I worked mostly as a generalizer, which means I can tackle everything that a CG animation
production demands.
So thats it about me! I hope I didn't bore you to death. :-)
You may as well look at
some of my personal photos  if you made it that far.
Again thanks for visiting and please come again!
